PNE Group takes over Rope Access Solutions GmbH

Expansion of the service portfolios

The wind farm manager energy consult GmbH, which belongs to the PNE Group, has taken over Rope Access Solutions GmbH in Bremen and integrated it into the wholly owned subsidiary MEB Safety Services GmbH (MEB).

Rope Access Solutions GmbH (RAS) is a specialist service provider in the field of rope access technology and, in addition to rotor blade and tower work on wind turbine generators, also offers services for work at heights and depths for other industrial sectors. Other key areas are education and training in rope-assisted work techniques a, as well as the sale of components for personal protective equipment against falls (PPEaF). MEB Safety Services GmbH was acquired by energy consult GmbH in 2018 and is today a service provider for various safety systems in wind turbine generators with a focus on equipment testing, obstacle marking, fire detection and extinguishing systems.

The integration of RAS into MEB, will be an excellent complement the current services of energy consult. The PNE Group will thus be able to further expanding its services relating to the operation of wind turbine generators and wind farms in line with its scale-up strategy. Rope Access Solutions and MEB Safety Services will be retained as brands. The management of MEB consists of the managing directors Henning Wegner and Malte Mehrtens and will be supplemented in future by Alexander E. Voigt as authorised signatory.

This will enable us in future to carry out tests and work on the tower and rotor blade independently, as well as to train our own and external skilled workers in the field of PPEaF.
